GAMES TO BE HELD AT AURORA SPORTS PARK - All RMSA games for the U-04, U-05, U-06, U-07 and U-8 are held at the Aurora Sports Park. Older teams will have half of their games at ASP (Home Games) and half at opponents fields (Away Games). ASP fields offer several advantages: The fields are the best in the State and we will have most games RMSA games in one complex! This makes it easier for many parents with several children because there will less travel required. In addition, having fields in one facility makes it a great deal easier for coaches that coach multiple teams.
COACHING CERTIFICATION: ALL RMSA COACHES MUST BE CERTIFIED IN ORDER TO COACH. AS A PARENT, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO ASK YOUR COACH IF SHE OR HE IS CERTIFIED. LACK OF CERTIFICATION MEANS THAT THE COACH HAS NOT RECEIVED THE PROPER INSTRUCTION IN ORDER TO TEACH THE RMSA CURRICULUM.
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? THE RMSA HAS A SPECIAL CURRICUULUM FOR TRAINING PLAYERS ACCORDING TO THEIR AGE. WE ALSO TEACH A "BRAZILIAN" STYLE OF SOCCER WHICH TAKES TIME TO LEARN. THE RMSA COACHING CONCEPTS ARE UNIQUE AND OUR CLUB HAS SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND COUNTLESS HOURS OF DEVELOPING A STRONG AND FUN PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN OF ALL AGES. THEREFORE, COACHES MUST BE VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE PHILOSOPHY AND COACHING TECH NIQUES IN ORDER TO BE A SUCCESSFUL COACH UNDER THE RMSA PROGRAM.
FREE SOCCER SKILLS CLINICS ARE BEING OFFERED BY RMSA STAFF COACHES EVERY FRIDAY AT THE RANGEVIEW H.S. LOWER SOCCER FIELD LOCATED RIGHT ON ILIFF AVE JUST WEST OF THE SCHOOL BUILDING. ALSO THERE ARE GOALKEEPER CLINICS OFFERED FOR PLAYERS INTERESTED IN BEING A GOALIE. THESE CLINICS ARE EXCELLENT, AND OUR EXPERIENCE IS THAT THOSE WHO ATTEND THE CLINICS IMPROVE THEIR SKILLS DRAMATICALLY.
EQUAL TIME PLAY RULE FOR RECREATIONAL PLAYERS: View Rule
ADVANCED GOALKEEPING CLINICS ARE CONDUCTED EVERY FRIDAY FROM 5:30PM - 8:30PM at RANGEVIEW H.S. LOWER SOCCER FIELD (corner of Iliff and Salida Way). THESE CLINICS ARE BEING OFFERED DURING THE SOCCER SEASON AT NO CHARGE FOR RMSA MEMBERS.
COMPETITIVE SOCCER PROGRAM - The Rocky Mountain Soccer Academy has a great competitive soccer program. It offers advanced soccer training for players who want to achieve a higher level in the sport of soccer. This program prepares the player for high school soccer and beyond. Players must be at least U-11 to enter this program. Check out our tryout announcements posted in June of every year.
FUNDRAISING FOR PARENTS - There are several programs available for parents and players to do fundraising in order to pay for soccer related expenses. Ask your team manager about team fundraising. Also available is the Pepsi Center concession stand. Here you can earn some serious money working at the RMSA concession stand. Please contact Kristen Carlson at Kristen101@comcast.net for information on how to get on the Pepsi Center schedule.
