The RMSA offers two soccer camps aimed at new players and intermediate players. Intermediate players are players who have been playing soccer at the recreational level and the "new" players are those who have never played organized soccer. The program consists of 3 days of training for two hours each day. It teaches the five basic soccer skills of Passing, Dribbling, Shooting, Receiving/Controlling the Ball, and Heading. Each session touches on the proper techniques of performing each skill using the RMSA basic coaching techniques. The sessions end with a soccer game each day, where players can then use what they have learned.
The camps are geared to teach the players in a way that they will remember what they learn. You can actually "see" the improvement in the player’s confidence and skills throughout the camp. There are two camps; these camps are identical and you can choose to attend either camp or both if you desire.
Camp attendees will receive a soccer ball and a camp t-shirt. The camps are cunducted by the RMSA Head Coach and RMSA trained coaches.
THESE CAMPS ARE OFFERED IN THE SPRING
